The Board and organizing Committee are committed to the environment. Surrounded by water on the shores of Lake Ontario, we are very aware of how fragile our environment is. To support this philosophy we have taken on a number of initiatives - including carbon capture using BeZero Carbon - Global Carbon Ratings.

Sadly, thanks to covid 19 we switched to water bottles on our race courses in 2022.  We expect to do that again in 2023 but can happily report we were able to recycle our empty bottles.  What we didn't use went primarily to minor hockey in Prince Edward County.  We always welcome new ideas to make our race greener please feel free to contact us at anytime.
